Still today, survivors of the Holocaust write, talk,
and bear witness to the destruction of the European Jews. Through their stories,
the memory of those communities lives on and we learn about them. Soon, survivors
will no longer be able to tell their stories. Then, the 800 children from Tarnow,
along with almost six million other victims, will only have us to remember them.
That is partly why learning about their experiences should be a reminder to
us in the future.
