Wall Street Crash
On 24 October 1929, money dealers at the New York stock exchange, on Wall Street, panicked over rapidly falling prices. The money market had collapsed. Although it recovered, this collapse saw the start of a worldwide financial depression that would last for several years. This event is known as the Wall Street Crash.
